1. Candidates who passed IGCSE/O Level examination in 5 subjects from 2017 to 2020 and IAL/GCE A Level examination in 2 subjects published after 10 May 2022 can apply. In IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level examination, out of total 7 subjects must have at least B grade in 4 and C grade in 3 subjects.
2. Holders of equivalent foreign certificates and diplomas may apply with the permission of the Head of Unit. You can apply if the equivalence of the concerned faculty is determined. Must meet faculty requirements.

Faculty of Science consists of Faculty of Science, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Science, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Some qualifications are required to apply in this category: Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board for Science and Agriculture Science Branch Alim and IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level Examination Passed in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with 4th Subject GPA Sum Must be 8.00. And in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent examinations separately candidates can apply if they have 3.5 per exam. Humanities and Commerce students of Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board can also apply. In that case, sum of GPA must be 7.00 including 4th subject in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination. And candidates can apply if they have 3.0 in each exam separately in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent exams.

Arts, Law and Social Science Unit:
This unit consists of Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Sciences.
Faculty of Science consists of Faculty of Science, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Science, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Some qualifications are required for applying in this category: Higher Secondary and Madrasah Board of Education Science Branch for Humanities applicants and Passed IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level Examinations Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with aggregate GPA of 4th subject 7.5 have to stay And candidates can apply if they score 3.0 in each exam separately in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent exams. Students of Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board of Science and Commerce stream can also apply. In that case the sum of GPA including 4th subject should be 8.00 in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination and 3.5 per examination separately in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent examination. And candidates of commerce branch must have GPA sum of 7.5 including 4th subject in secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination and separately candidates can apply if the examination is 3.0.

Business Education Unit:
All the faculties that can be applied under this unit are mentioned in the admission guidelines given on the website.
For application in business education stream, higher secondary and madrasa education board science stream Alim and IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level examination must have aggregate GPA of 7.5 with 4th subject in secondary and higher secondary and equivalent examination. And candidates can apply if they score 3.0 in each exam separately in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent exams. Science and Humanities students of Higher Secondary and Madrasa Board can also apply. In that case, the sum of GPA should be 8.00 in science stream including 4th subject in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination and 3.5 per examination separately in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent examination. Candidates in Humanities must have a sum of GPA of 7.5 including 4th subject in secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination and separately candidates can apply if the examination is 3.0.

Fine Arts Unit:
All the faculties that can be applied under this unit are mentioned in the admission guidelines given on the website.
Dhaka University Admission Circular Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent candidates in any discipline must have aggregate GPA of 6.5 including 4th subject in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (3.0 in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination separately.

How to apply for Dhaka University admission

First of all, one has to apply for university entrance exam and after passing the entrance exam, the candidate gets admission in Dhaka University. Dhaka University website for applying for admission to any unit

Note: Candidates who have passed A level and O level or equivalent foreign or open candidates should apply for equivalence at http://admissoin.eis.du.ac.bd through Equivalence Application. Apply like normal students using Equivalence ID.

What is quota admission system ?

Dhaka University Faculty/Officer/Employee Ward Quota (Boy/Girl/Husband/Wife only). Tribes/Minorities, Harijan and Dalit communities, Handicapped Quotas. Freedom fighter quota Children/grandsons/granddaughters of freedom fighters. Players who have passed the HSC examination from BKSP only, candidates for admission in the quota of the students have to collect the admission form from the dean’s office of that unit within 7 days of the release of the result of that unit. In the case of quota, the person who wants to be admitted in the quota must submit the quota confirmation/certificate/certificate to the office of the head of the unit.

• In case of Ward Quota along with certificate from Head of University Office.
• Attested copy of respective Tribe/Minority Head/District Pramaskar’s certificate for Tribal/Minority Quota.
• In case of Harijan and Dalit community, certificate issued by the head of Harijan and Dalit community.
• Certificate of Correctness in Disability Quota.
• Quota of Muktijuddha in case of child/grandchild/granddaughter of Muktijudho Ministry or certificate issued by then Prime Minister under Muktijudho Sangsad from 1997 to 2011.
• Only candidates who have passed HSC examination from BKSP can apply for player quota. Must have BKSP certificate.
